Originally commissioned by the Oak Leaf High School Wind Ensemble, Orange Park, Florida
This piece takes us on a journey of a knight who decides to look for Avalon, the island where King Arthur was taken after his last battle. Legend has it that Arthur waits there, healing, until he is called upon to return and save England from and insurmountable foe. The island lies hidden in the mist, somewhere off the coast of Britain.
